Established in 1978, Puopolo spent four decades serving the food service and manufacturing sectors. From that experience, a new Puopolo business unit has emerged in Melbourne — proudly carrying on the family name. Today, restaurants, delicatessens and supermarkets are supplied with an extensive range of artisanal, locally made smallgoods, available in both retail and bulk sizes.
Puopolo begins with traditional recipes and quality ingredients — the foundations of great salami and cured meats. The final and most crucial step is carefully dry-ageing each product, a process that captures the authentic flavour and quality of their original Italian recipes.
The Puopolo family has built a rich heritage blending tradition and innovation, growing from a humble Geelong butcher shop into a respected name for premium Italian salumi across Australia.
