When Luigi Monforte migrated to Queensland from Italy, he started a small business, L. Monforte & Co., driven by a passion to share authentic Italian flavours. He saw the opportunity to introduce European food to Queensland, laying the foundation for a lasting cultural connection between Italy and Australia.

In 1977, his son Sam joined the business, working across every part of the operation—from driving trucks and managing the warehouse to building supplier relationships and overseeing specialty imports. Together with his brothers, he helped grow the family business into a respected European food distributor, built on quality and authenticity. After years of hard work, Luigi retired, leaving behind a strong legacy.

In 2007, Sam founded Euro Foods QLD to continue that vision. Built on family values and a commitment to quality, the business now carries forward through his sons, Lawrence and Liam, who remain dedicated to serving customers and suppliers with the same integrity, care, and professionalism that define the Monforte name.
